Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos
Robot vacuums and mops are becoming more capable, acing our tests of cleaning and tackling various floor types. Look for models that allow you to select between several modes, utilize their charging dock to self-empty, and clean up stairs.
Many of the top models are compatible with smartphones. Look for an app that allows you to save maps, create schedules, and choose cleaning modes.
- Eufy Omni S1 Pro
Eufy's gunmetal-and-gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuums and mop combos on the market. It uses lidar for navigation, creating maps of floors and rooms.
When I tried the S1, it was quick to locate our downstairs, which has linoleum flooring in the kitchen-diner and bathrooms, as well as medium-pile carpeting and a large area rug. It easily drove close to walls without hitting them and even managed to cross raised room thresholds with no problem, but it sometimes was unable to navigate down stairs in a single pass. The S1 also did an excellent job of cleaning hard floors by dragging its mop effortlessly on its flat side against the floor and lifting itself when it reached carpet or rug.
The docking station of the S1 automatically empties its dust bin and refills its onboard water tank with clean, ozonated water prior to every mopping session. The dock provides a deep-cleaning solution to the water. The S1 water tank is able to hold up to 12 cleaning sessions, but this will differ based on how often you use the mop.
Like all 2-in-1 robots the S1 requires regular maintenance to keep it working well. For this, you'll need to clean the dirty water tank regularly to prevent it from clogging. It is also necessary to clean your sensor and swivel wheel frequently to avoid them getting blocked by dust or dirt. Overall, the S1 is easy to maintain, especially compared to other models which require more effort to maintain.
- Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
Ecovacs All-in-one robotic vacuum and mop is an effective solution to your cleaning needs. Its robot vacuum boasts 8,700Pa of suction and offers many innovative features, such as full home mapping, voice control, and smart path-planning to avoid obstacles and cleans around furniture. Its mopping ability is impressive. Rotating mops actually lift the floor and scrub it, rather than just moving a pad across the surface. The mops can also be cleaned and dried at the base station, if required.
This robot combination is simple to setup and use, with a simple interface that guides you through the procedure. It also comes with a hand vacuum that can be used to clean hard-to reach areas that the robot cannot reach. There are two water tanks which are automatically emptied or refilled. It comes with a variety of useful settings to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete is an excellent vacuum cleaner. It has a strong suction which can easily pick up dust and debris that other robots have trouble with. Its navigation abilities are also decent, but it can get stuck on small mats and rugs in my home (which you can mitigate by creating virtual boundaries in the app). Mopping capabilities are very good, with a pair spinning mop pads that are able to lift and scrub floors instead of simply dragging the pad across it. The mops can also be cleaned using heated water and dried in the basestation as needed. Mops can also be replenished at the top of the station when required.
- Dreame X40 Ultra
Dreame released the luxe X30 Ultra earlier this year however their latest flagship model of robot mop and vacuum comes with more impressive features. It delivers outstanding cleaning results, and it is easy to maintain. This makes it a worthy contender for our list of the best mops and robot vacuums. Its superior Robotvacuummops.Uk mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart detection and an extended side brush ensure that an effective, customized cleaning is achieved.
The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, picking up large and fine particles from hard floors as well as carpets. It was able to clean the dirtiest areas of our tests with ease, avoiding pet hairs and other messes. The sweeping power of the machine is enhanced by a sidebrush which automatically swings out in order to reach hard-to-reach areas, and a mop pad that extends along baseboards.
Its navigation is smart, navigating tight spaces and climbing stairs without skipping a beat. It can go from one room to another without having to change direction. This is beneficial for homes that have multiple rooms. Its obstacle avoidance technology isn't as advanced than some competitors, however, and tends to leave a thick margin over obstacles, which can result in missed spots.
Its app has a streamlined, intuitive interface that should be easy for both novice and experienced users. The app lets you schedule and manage cleaning tasks. You can also adjust suction power, mop setting, and view 2D and 3-D maps. It can be controlled via the app, Alexa, Google Assistant or Siri and allows you to keep an eye on its progress from anywhere. You can even use the X40 Ultra's camera remotely to get real-time video supervision. You will require a stable internet connection to access the app and external controls.
- Roomba Q5 Pro
Robot vacuums are excellent at removing dirt and debris but they're not able to get every speck of dust. That's why it's important to make use of your regular vacuum once every week, and especially to clean dust from corners, on shelves and in the crevices of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro, a 2-in-1 robot that vacuums and mop, is designed to accomplish this. It is easy to connect it to your WiFI network at home and it works with Alexa or Apple Siri.
The Q5 is a stripped-down version of the more expensive S-series models from the company, such as the flagship Roborock S8 maxV ultra. It is equipped with the same LIDAR mapping sensors, but it is cheaper because it doesn't have mopping capabilities and comes with plastic body.
The Q5 is one of the most powerful vacuums and mopping robots we've seen in this price range, even though it's not equipped to clean your floor. It has a powerful suction of 5500Pa and an auto-empty system so you don't need to empty the bin manually each time. It also has a clever application that lets you choose the type of floor and schedule cleanings, and an automatic water tank refill and wash system that allows hands-free operation.
The mops also stand out, with a 2700Pa capacity to combat pet hair and dirt on carpets as well as hard floors. The Q5 is one of the few robots we tested that didn't show any problems with carpets with high piles or area rugs, but it couldn't remove cat litter or cable tangles and cable tangles, which isn't a surprise given that it doesn't have AI-powered obstacle avoidance.
- K10 Plus
K10 Plus is one of the most quiet robovacs that we have tested, it also uses a unique system to map your home this will allow it to enter places that other vacuums are unable to reach. This device also stores dust in a larger bin that means you have to empty it less often. It also has washable filters which further reduces the costs associated with using the device. The robot is also able to detect carpets and increase suction when needed. You can also mark areas you would like to keep out of the app.
